You know I am a big fan of Bob's work. Elegant simplicity with modernity to it. I can definitely see the influence. Great stuff man.
Thanks Jack!
How you learn to do all this ive been trying to find a book on how to do some shapes or scroll images to practice very Nice
You have to look up scroll Pinstriping designs and study them I have some videos on my page that could help. Scroll Pinstriping for beginners
@@villapinstriping ive been learning from your UA-cam Your Bad Ass
@e-brown5274 thanks!
Nice color choice. Cool design. Thank you
Thank you! Cheers!
Yessiree you have found your style awesomeness
Thanks Joe!
Nice 👍
Thank you!
Hey, what type of oil? fish, olive, Hydraulic, Gear??? What do you use???
Neatsfoot oil is the best option. Mineral oil works too. Old timers use motor oil. It's kind of a point of controversy...
That's why I didn't touch on the topic in my video
It's good that I just met you...I'm 40 years old and I would like to start the world of pinstriping (it's never too late) especially as a hobby...I know absolutely nothing...what paints are used and what additives are added to be able to start drawing lines??...thank you very much

@@villapinstriping hooooo thanks My friends

Thank you for everything you share with us on your channel.
You're very welcome sir!
Simple kicks ass
Thanks Dave!
Always enjoy your videos Freddie!
Much appreciated!
verry nice freddie
Thank you sir!
Is it true that it's hard to clear over one shot. I started with some of their product and like it but I have heard this rumor.
It's just something that needs to be learned. Clearing requires a few light coats over 1 shot before going full blast. Making sure the 1 shot is dry also helps. Adding hardener can greatly increase the odds in your favor. Just something that needs to be tested for you to understand how it will react

Wow the accuracy of that last stroke is absolutely amazing great work
Thank you very much!!!
work of art
Thanks!
The design is really cool bro! Your brush handling skills are on point!! Beautiful!!!
Great work Freddie! I really dig your style brother!! Big love & respect!
Is this technique safe to do on an actual vehicle??
Yes I've been using these techniques on vehicles for years. Mostly using mineral spirits over the years and just recently switched over to Naphtha as my main reducer. I only suggest that you wipe off something in a inconspicuous spot first just to make sure there's no reaction to the vehicles paint. I've had no issues in my 9 years Pinstriper
Not a slow burn at all! Perfectly paced and really inspiring to watch. I loved seeing how you built the design up - seeing it literally take form from video to video and hearing your thought process as you considered your next move. Thank you for doing this series. I'll definitely be re-watching it as I practice.
I really appreciate the kind words. These videos can be a challenge to make. Comments like these keep me going! Thanks!
That tear drop shape you did at 7:03 was so 😗👌 I went oooh'd outloud to myself
The color separation was pretty strong on that one! Thank you
Using a chopping board for practice and marking out grids/reference points is understated genius. Thank you!
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it
Honestly.... ehhh. You were doing OK until you added the fizzle at the end.
It's usually 50/50 if people like them. Sometimes I'll have a design that won't sell... Then I add the 'Fuzzle' and it sells the next day 😂. I appreciate the input tho
I really need to get back into striping. I haven’t done it in like 3 years. I’m going to have to learn to paint in high humidity since I moved to Tampa. It’s more humid than I’m use too.
I work indoors if I can for that same exact reason. Florida is a beast. Extremely hot
I watched all parts, what a cool series! When the first yellow-ish tears were put down, I thought: wauw, that color is way to bright, but it turned out to be very nice in the end!!!
Thanks for watching all of them bro!
Great video! Thank you for what you do and helping out the newbies!
Thanks for Watching Alan!

Hits home in so many ways!! This interview is solid gold!! We need Glen to come give a tour at Don Garlits museum and tell stories of all the great art on the race cars... You could fill a week!!!
He's one of a kind! Good dude. We were extremely happy to hear he's back to creating and now teaching!
Hi Villa, can you plug those bottles you store your 1 shot in? I've looked at my local plastic shop and online and can not find the style you have
Look up SKS bottle company online. Clear PET with Flip top cap
Thank you! Appreciate you and your channel so much!
After all is done and you realized you spelled cruise wrong….
Hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes. I didn't realize it until I posted the video and someone told me
Hi, I was wondering if you had a way I could contact you for a collaboration commission possibly? I have an artist in mind to cover up my tattoo but I would love to add some im embellishments like this
No problem. You can usually get a hold of me best on Instagram or Facebook. Freddie Villa on Facebook and @villapinstriping on Instagram. Or you can email me at VillaPinstriping@gmail.com
@@villapinstriping I have neither lol

I use 1 shot for lettering and custom painting on helmets gas tanks etc.etc.,, and yes I do use this hardener in my 1 shot enamel,, I use 10% and yes I do drops and there are times when I only have about 1/8th oz. of 1 shot so I then guess about 5 drops and these drops are from ice cream stir sticks,,, the hardener will make the paint set up much faster and then I use a little clear fluothane to smooth the paint out and slow the drying... I wanted to say I do spray a 2k clear urethane over my work and the main thing is to let the 1 shot dry at least 2 to 3 days,,, My 1st coat of clear is a tack coat very light and almost like a fog coat, let dry 15 to 20 minutes before 2nd medium coat let dry 40min and finale coat I spray a medium wet coats. Remember your not spraying over a base coat. One more thing I wanted to add, I always have samples of all the colors I use for each job and I spray clear over the samples before I spray my custom work. Hope that helps and thanks for your help Vill Pinstriping too. Signs by: Tom
I appreciate your input Tom! Thanks!!
